the weight you carry

"It's not the weight you carry, but how you carry it . . ."
~ Heavy by Mary Oliver
This is one of those times when the 10 of Fire feels more like burden rather than responsibility. The art then is, as suggested, in how one carries that burden. I won't dare suggest lightness here ~ it seems too Pollyanna, that suggestion. What is present for today is work of the soul. A heart heavy with sadness, a mind full of resentment, a head full of anger and searing words.

The image here shows an incline with no clear path. There is a matter of bearing this burden with no easily defined boundaries. There are gray areas and false starts. There are ambiguities. And you best start getting comfortable with ambiguity. Really, the only way to the top of this ridge is through. You'll have to find your own path and your own way of carrying the weight. Will it be with tears? Or resentment? Or stony perseverance? No matter. It's one foot in front of the other today.

So.

Shift things so the burden is manageable. Reschedule certain appointments if possible. Delegate some of the work. It is, after all, how you carry it that matters today.
