deep water

I've got a feeling, a feeling deep inside . . .
I've got a feeling, a feeling I can't hide

~ I've Got a Feeling, The Beatles
There are a few things going on, dear people. The moon is nearing to new, making the night seem darker. For the Northern Hemisphere, it's the double barrel of the longest night that is upon us. And, today, I pull our Father of Water (Cups) twice in one sitting.

Soak that in for a moment.

Because, generally, we humans steer clear of true, deep emotion. We rarely sit long with how we're feeling regardless of the emotion. Deep joy moves us. Deep sorrow washes over. At either end of the spectrum, how is one to keep nostrils above water let alone one's head?

And here is where our Father of Water might offer a little advice. Step in. Feel what's meant to be felt and let it move through your body. If you weren't meant to feel a certain way, you wouldn't feel it. Are you still with me? In other words, people are rarely given something they can't handle. Even if it's a challenge, a struggle full of doubt and recrimination. Even if it's sadness and anger. Or joy.

You are capable of navigating these deep waters ~ turbulent or calm. Looking to the Father of Water's bearing and ease of motion might offer some seed of courage for today.
