Come a little bit closer
Hear what I have to say

~ Harvest Moon, Neil Young
The Moon is mellow today. The actual moon in the sky is only just waxing, offering the promise of a crescent light before blooming full. And so we can be in this darkness safe and cozy, dreaming and whispering of what's to come.

This is an easy day. Let those moonbeams wash over you. Let your being be touched by starlight, moonlight, and darkness. None of this sounds practical or makes sense, but that's the point. It's a day of poetry. Words have many meanings based solely on sound. Sounds take on deeper qualities allowing one to hear the Music of the Spheres. Sight becomes a vivid explosion of saturated color despite the muted moon glow. Walk the mangata that leads to the moon. She'll not steer you wrong.

Today be a poet in your life. Speak to the trees and sing to the stars. We need poetry for the soul to be heard.
