dog days done

Happiness hit her like a bullet in the back
Struck from a great height
By someone who should know better than that

~ Dog Days Are Over, Florence & The Machine
In the traditional RWS deck, The Tower may elicit slight panic with its image of the exploding tower and figures plummeting head first into certain doom. Well. Don't panic. Sometimes, sometimes, The Tower has another more useful meaning: Realization. It's usually a sudden and irrevocable realization that shakes a person to their very core. And once the foundations of falsehood and festering emotions are broken there is a certain liberation. Like you'll never go back. Whatever was gnawing at you in life is no more and you are free to rebuild a more solid foundation with a little more care and attention to honesty and self-knowledge.

But the nice thing is, you're done.

So.

Because this is a card just for today, perhaps it's the tiny epiphany you bump into that opens up the world for you. It might not restructure your entire life, but you've been given an interesting perspective to an old problem. You've been given something you can work with and it is ground breaking. Channel that energy and make that necessary change. Because you're not revisiting this problem ever again.
