|Don't know why there's no sun up in the sky,|
~ Ted Koehler
No matter. The point is, with the 5 of Earth things feel bleak. The cupboards are bare, the bank account is low, the car has run out of gas on a long, lonely stretch of road. And this is where you're at feeling bereft, lost, uncared for. The 5 of Earth is a hard taskmaster in these times. It's your task to keep faith and move on to the best of your ability.
Read Desiderata for comfort. Take stock and be grateful for what is on hand right now. I know it's difficult to feel grateful for a roof over one's head when the cupboards are bare, but it's something. The bank account may be lean at the moment, but money is fluid, it'll come back around (at least that's my idea). And some good Samaritan may come along to help with that roadside jam. Or peace is found in walking the long stretch of road. (For the sake of this dire reading, let's set aside the Hollywood horror movie chain-saw murder scenario.) At any rate, the real point is: no matter how difficult things seem, gratitude is something no one can take away from you. Gratitude has a way of multiplying when put into motion.
