berries

First, some exciting news: Ariel and I have created a book study group for Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. The description for the group is as follows:

In the book, Women Who Run With the Wolves, Clarissa Pinkola Estes explores the powerful force within each woman that fills us with intention, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing. We invite you to join us on this journey to explore through reading, journaling, and art, the Wild Woman within that is our birthright.

For though the gifts of wildish nature belong to us at birth, society's attempt to "civilize" us into rigid roles has muffled the deep, life-giving messages of our own souls. In Women Who Run With the Wolves, Dr. Estes unfolds rich intercultural myths, fairy tales, and stories, many from her own family, in order to help women reconnect with the fierce, healthy, visionary attributes of this instinctual nature.

Through the stories and commentaries in this remarkable book, we retrieve, examine, love, and understand the Wild Woman, and hold her against our deep psyches as one who is both magic and medicine.

And we can be found here.

If you feel like running with some women who are running (and perhaps occasionally sitting) with the Wolves, please come join us.

And now, the other stuff . . .

Got berries? They're chillin' in the freezer now.

My brave intuitive painting getting just a little bolder.

Right now, this is the sweet spot I want to kiss.
That may change tomorrow.
