Anyway, like I was saying . . .

Tonight was Skate About the House Night. Having lived in enclosures small enough to squeeze the life out of people, moving into a big house with very little furnishings just opens up a whole host of possibilities. Sure there's space enough for stretching out in big yoga poses. One can appreciate the Zen-like qualities of spare furnishings and feel the mind pressing against the bare walls with no obstructions. There's enough space to toss the ball for the dog. Far. There's plenty of space for the cats to play squash with an unfortunate mouse or two. Why not include skating, full gear, from kitchen to Great Room and back again?

Naturally, there was leisure time for other pursuits . . .

Phone calls . . .

Watching Camp Lazlo . . .

And then it was back to skating . . .

I did not skate. I'm a little more sensible about my open space and free time. Having gotten through the spinning of the Green Fiber, I am now knitting that Fair Isle sweater I started a year ago. Here is one sleeve thus far. At least I didn't need a crash helmet ~ although some may beg to differ.

It's just good Family Fun.

This darkened photo is just Proof of Life that a male teen named Tom is still housed here. He was safely IM-ing on the computer. I don't think he even needed knee pads.

On skating in the house . . .

First, let me interject with a photo of me so that it will actually stay in my Profile Photo
